Hi all
Thought this would be the right place to get some good honest opinions
Current chair is a RXS with emotions and a K4 for my power trike, ive been to wheelchair services and they have given me a voucher for an everyday chair
Bit about me im 38 (just) mum of 4 and want something trendy and girly
I have in mind a quickie neon (folding) which hubby would prefer because of space or a quickie neon and i havnt tried anything else
My questions are
1/ will the emotion brackets on the quickie rxs fit on another quickie product (hubby figured cutting one of the chairs out) or will i have to buy new brackets.
2/ Have any of you got any good stories or horror stories regarding various chairs that i should/could try.
3/ folding or rigid ( i have FMS & CFS) so i dont have endless or sustained energy so what effort i put in i need it to be well used.
Thanks for reading this and hope to hear from you soon

oh my, you are going to get 100 different answers on this one. First things first, how much is the voucher and how much do you want to add?
my opinion on folders.....
my husband nagged me to get a folder becasue of space, so I did. truth be told I rarely use it as I find it very difficult to fold out on my own. It really depends on your own mobility. Personally I prefer fixed frames, but having said that its alwasy useful to have a folder I suppose as you never know..
I believe you will have to buy new brackets for the E motions.
Personally if you are in the UK Id give RGK a look. depends are you looking for bespoke or off the shelf? There are plenty of suppliers who can give you a good deal. Kuschalls are usually a good bet too
.
cheers

I thought that when i posted, but really appreciate your advice, i dont usually go out alone so i would have help with the folding and putting it in the boot issue. I suppose my main concern is do you loose any effort taken up in the folding mechanism flexing before it starts to move
The voucher is for £612.50 and i figured id have to put about £800/£1000 with it. Ive made many mistakes buying other chairs to fit me but they never quite do so i feel now is the time to get something bespoke with some room for adjustment if necessary. Im in the UK and in the south east
thanks so far
