Hi Bob,
Sorry no one's posted for you yet. Unfortunately I'm of no help to you here (I use a regular matress with a 'Memmory Foam' top). But I can steer you to the pressure sore and ulcers forums for different ideas on air-loss matresses. There, you'll find LOTS of threads to browse.

Don't know where you live, but here's a couple links for places in the U.S. that carry Polyfloat. Hope this is what you need:

http://www.jimboes.5.../POLYFLOAT.html
http://www.advanceds...yfloat4500.aspx
http://www.furniture...m/waterbeds.asp

That should get you started.

Hi, I'm a c-2 quad who uses a flotation system made by ARDO Medical AG in Switzerland. You'll have to call Europe to order your mattress. However, you won't regret it. My contact at the company office was Samuel Krähenbühl <samuel.krahenbuhl@ardo.ch> He spoke English fluently and helped me complete my purchase in a timely manner.

The water cushions are heavy for hospital beds, but I've used this system on my bed for approximately 18 of my 22 years as a quad with excellent results. New homehealth nurses marvel at my skin conditions! Here's a link to the water chamber system: http://www.ardo.ch/w...?...D=55&PID=55

Needless to say, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ARDO Water-Chamber-Systems!!!

Best wishes,

Chris

I am a T6 back home from a nursing home for over a year where I was turned every two hours during the night. Here I live alone, so my Medicare/Medicaid DME provider issued me a Gaymar Aire-Twin ATW5000 System, an alternating pressure and low-air-loss therapy mattress, which I have atop a standard hospital bed mattress. So far (almost 4 months now) this, and a Roho cushion on my electric wheelchair have kept me ulcer-free. Gaymar's US number is 1-800-828-7341. In Canada contat Waterloo Bedding Co., 1-800 203-4293. These numbers are from my instruction manual; I've never dealt directly with the company. Good fortune to you!
