Me and my c5/6 quad fiance are planning a trip to Portland Oregon from the UK. We will be staying for a month with my father in his home. I am extremely overwhelmed at all of the things I have to consider to make my fiances stay as comfortable as possible. My father has the measurements of his chair and will ensure that there are ramps and access space around the house. My concerns are with where to find a vehicle with a ramp so that he is not stuck in the house during the entire visit, if there is nursing staff available for the short term to come in and do his bowels while we are there and where I am going to find a hoist which he needs to get into and out of bed. I want very much for this incredible man to meet my wonderful father and also to show him my country. Any advice on where I need to start or on what I need to take .. would be most appreciated. Thanks a ton!

Everything you need can be rented try these people http://www.allinonemobility-shop.com/ I lived there for awhile and it's pretty easy to find what ever you will need. If you like art check out the Portland Art museum and there is the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry and the zoo oh and the Rose Gardens are nice. Don't worry you will be fine enjoy your visit.
