OK firstly I hope I am posting this in the correct area if not admin feel free to move it.

Right I am Jim and Im 26 I suffer Brittle Bones also known as osteogenesis imperfecta. So far I have had a couple of hundred broken bones including three spinal breaks. Luckily none of the spinal injuries have had any long lasting effects.

However after my my last break (at the music festival T In The Park) I spent two months recovering in Glasgows Spinal Injuries Unit based at the Southern General hospital I heard about a fund used to benefit patients with longer lasting injuries and paralysis nd this got me thinking.

So fast forward a year and a half me and some mates were sat in the pub talking about what we could do for charity and also what charities to do it for. So w ended up coming up the three charities. The Scottish Spinal Injuries Unit fund, The Brittle Bone Society and CHAS (Childrens Hospice Association Scotland). Then we decided that we were going to try and complete Scotland's famous West Highland Way starting on 24th May this year, a rugged 96 mile trek from outside Glasgow to Fort William Over hills as big as 550m. As far as I know after speaking to the park ranger no one has successfully completed the walk using a wheelchair.....yet!

Anyway I guess that is what brought me here. I am trying to raise sponsorship and as much awareness as possible. Unfortunately using 'Just Giving' they don't allow to use one page for more than on charity and also the Spinal Injuries unit have not registered with them however if anyone would like to make a donation to The Spinal Imjuries Unit please feel free to PM or email me and we can make arrangements or alternatively you can donate to any of the other Just giing sites we have made up here www.justgiving.com/westhighlandwaybrittlebonesociety or here www.justgiving.com/westhighlandway2008

Also any advice with regards to companies able to help with either modifying my chair or loaning us an off road chair would be much appreciated.

Thank You for taking the time to read this.
