Hey there welcome! I'm new to this to my bf got hurt in oct. of 07. He is a T-11 complete. It is going to be really hard and stressful at first. For awhile............. We still have are days but my bf has now except the fact that we can't walk and that has made things alot easier. He's not such n a-hole anymore. one thing have hane learned from "motor" a great guy on this forum is don't baby him. I did that at first. I dressed him, bathed him, got him EVERTHING he wanted, etc. But after reading motors posting i started to lean away from it now i will just get his clothes for him and he dresses himself. Not doing that one thing makes it alot better. I try to make him be as independent as possible. Well i'm gonna go for now cuz i could go on and on. If you need to vent or just talk hit me up. Look forward to hearing from you.

Live it up!

All I can begin with is the accessability of your place:

Is it easy to get in/ out of your place of residence?

Is the bed approximately the same height as his chair?

Do you have some type of bathroom arrangements set up for his toilet/ shower needs?

Are most necessary items within reach in the kitchen?

This is just a start for now. Everyone has certain needs that can be easily met once they're back home. Major home renovations aren't usually required for someone's level as low as your husbands. Most people prefer a bathroom sink that can be wheeled under (in time).

I'm sure you'll figure out his needs more easily once he's home.
Best wishes
