Ok heres the scenario,..... stunningly attractive female, (thats me of course!), shiny wheelchair with red leather upholstery ( my chosen method of transport). Very posh wedding in Harrogate end of June.
The expected invite arrived and on it said... 'Black Tie'. So crikey I think to myself what should I wear? Its ok for my husband of course, but what about me? Am I expected to wear the whole slinky cocktail dress outfit or what? Ive already bought a very nice new summer skirt and top from M & S, not cheap either, (formal) but given Im going to be 5 months pregnant I wont me slim by any means.

So any good suggestions would be great. Or given that Im going to be the family curiosity anyway does it matter what I wear, coz no one will notice!

cheers
L

I think people should look their best no matter where they are going. But, I think you should dress in what you will be comfy in. seeing as it is going to be family I don't see why not. And as for being 5 mons pregnant thats great !! Keep up the good work !! Don't worry about being a curiosity, just take a good look at some of your family and I'm sure you will find someone curious......looking........

Keep your chin up and eat lots of good food. have fun!!!!!!

I think that last hits it squarely.

Wear what would make you feel comfortable if having your picture taken with the hubby,,,,,cause it's a wedding and they WILL be taking loads of pictures.

I know it's a pain in the rear,,, needing to buy something special to wear while 5 months along.

But,,,hey,,, maybe somebody will get married while you're preggers with the NEXT one.

Being in a w/chair plus being pregnant gives oodles of space to do it however you like.
Feel confident in whatever you decide to wear by celebrating your difference from all those boringly uniformed, regimented, same same people.

When do get the chance to get all glammed up? If I were you I'd go the whole nine yards! Everyone looks good in black tie, if you don't fancy buying something that you'll only wear once (especially as you're pregnant) why don't you look into hiring something for the day?

If everyone else is dressing up why shouldn't you? It is, after all, what the bride wants for her special day!
