Urine Leakage Inspite Of Using Silicon Catheter Pls guide Rate Topic: -----

I am on catheter from past 7 years . Recently from past 6 months i have constant urinie laekage in and around urethra . Can someone pls help me what to do and how to control this problem . i am paraplegic from T9-T11

its a silicon catheter which i change almost every month

urologist maybe? usually when a foley starts leaking around it, its normally starting to get stopped up and pressure is building up behind it, u could just need a bigger catheter.............

what size foloy catheter are you using I use a 16 to 18 i keep it in for like a MONTH when ever it starts leaking i take it out then i use the condum drainage for 3-5 days then go back to a new foloy catherter i also take enablex 7.5mg that is great for bladder spasms bladder spasms can caUSE you to have leakage

i use rubber catheters doctor says they are better then silicon

Hi my mother uses already 23-24 size catheter.
We stated with 16-18 but now it doesnt work now. still she has lot of leakgae on and off . she also comlpains of heavy leg pain

This back and forth is gruelling. Go to a Urologist, already. Could be a UTI with your leg hurting (spazms?). Also look into bladder spazm medication, like Oxybutynin. If your already on the med's, it could also be a bladder/kidney stone. Go go go!!
