I hear ya. I'm a t-3 t-4 with that same nerve pain
from my toes to my butt. I have had it ever since my injury.
For me went I drink high sugar drinks it makes it worse.
I have tried all sorts of meds and they have helped people in
the past but not me. I'm not a big med guy though.
All I can say is eat healthy and that seams to help me.
Stay away from sugars. Hope this helps.

I know the pain you are talking about. Mine is localized to my left side and goes from my toes to my arm pit. It gets so bad at times I can’t raise my arm higher then my shoulder. My Dr. has given me all the tests we have in our small town hospital. I have lived with this situation for 5 years of my 14 year paralysis.

The pain is definitely worse at night then during the day. It is bad enough at times I can not sleep or am violently awoken in the middle of the night. I don’t complain or even bring it up any more because it has to be in my head according to my wife and relatives.

Thanks for starting this thread. I thought I was alone in this situation. Sorry I couldn’t be more help other then that I in this with you and feel your pain, literally.

Central Cord Syndrome is very painful and this could be the problem. I'm in major pain all the time.

If its nerve pain and not muscle pain (which I am guessing it is) see your doc. There are meds you can take for it. I have horrible nerve pain which was affecting my daily living so severly I couldnt sit up on my own. I got it under control with Neurontin but after 2 yrs I just made the change to Lyrica to help with some of the sleepiness I had. Your doc can make proper recommendations for you though.

Hi! I am a SCI registered nurse... But I am also a paraplegic (T10, for 20 years now). I have been having since day one. My pain is like a burning shooting pain (like a spleeping foot) that starts in my right foot to the side of my leg to my hip. I tried many things such as antiflammatory meds. anticonvulsivant (Neurotin) to opiods (Tylenol #, Percocet). But what I find BEST is: Lyrica (neuropathic pain medicationn) and the Neurogesic Patch (fentanyl/opiods meds). It had made a HUGE difference in my life. Everytime that I forget to take Lyrica for a day or two, I have PAIN. I strongly suggest it.
Hope this helps,
Daniel
