Hi all,

I hope no-one minds me posting this here. If there is a problem please go ahead and delete this post.

I'm one of the writers on an original online virtual series. A virtual series (or VS) is a set of scripts like those used to film a television series - although, in the case of a VS, the written scripts are only read for entertainment and never actually produced for television. There are many examples online, but most are continuations of popular series such as Buffy or Star Trek.

Our VS will be an original furturistic sci-fi series which features creatures from mythology and 'mutants', evolving humans.

We have already decided that our main character will be paraplegic, due to an accident which shapes his life leading up to the start of the series. Although the series is set in the future, our main character is very 'old school' in his approach, shunning electric wheelchairs and other appliances that they have produced which would make his life easier. We decided this simply because we wanted a main character who was different from the norm - someone who wouldn't have to vault over walls and have elaborate fight scenes just to be an interesting character. There are too few 'disabled' characters in mainstream television and fiction today, and, although this will only be a small time not-for-profit fiction project written by a few people, we still want to try and help even that balance out.

As none of us involved in this virtual series have any experience with spinal cord injuries, we are looking for an advisor who could point out any flaws in plotlines in regards to his needs, tell us about anything we will need to consider given the injury he has (and help us figure out the exact type of injury too!), and let us know whether we are doing his situation justice.

Sorry about the lack of information regarding the series, but we would like to keep it all under wraps until we have published the first episode script. Please note, this is not a paying gig. This is just a fun project for it's writers and anyone who helps out would have to do it just for the enjoyment of it. If you're good with graphics or writing and can help us in other areas too, that's a bonus, but not necessary at all.

If anyone is interested please post here or email Candice3107 @ gmail.com (without the spaces).

Thank you so much for reading!
