Swimming Issue..

Im wondering if people with abdominal hole would be able to swim without any fears of infection.. Are there any devices that could be used?.. I've had this abdominal hole for 4 years but have not tried swimming because of fears of infection.. This hole is just like what others with suprapubic catheter have without the catheter.
