oxbutinin work for a few months but it took away my boxers after 5 months of no leak???

What does, ''it took away my boxers'' mean? Sorry I didn't understand this sentance.
Do you mean to say you had to wear diapers because the oxybutynin stopped working properly?
Please clarify

For the most part, it depends on my plans for the day,,,, If I have the opportunity to cath at about three hour intervals, I have no leakage,,, but if I don't think that will be feasable, I opt for the sheath.
The problem with switching is forgetting which schedule I've selected,,,,,,not good!!!!
All of the pills work to some extent, but nothing is really foolproof. You might want to consider botox injections,,,,I've heard that some have had good luck with those.
The next options are surgery or rubber bands,,, but I'ld stay away from the rubber bands if I were you.

It was just a point of clarification, NOT in any way meant to put down or degrade you.
Believe ME, I've been there too! I tried 3 kinds of meds before landing on oxybutynin, but there's also DetrolLA.
I noticed you didn't mention this one on your original post.
Ask your urologist to try different things. Hopefully one will work better than the others. Ed made a point that nothing's foolproof . . . that's true to some extent. But, for the most part, the only time I've noticed having accidents is when I'm putting pressure on the bladder by leaning over to pick something up from the floor.
Hope this helps.

Just what's wrong with the answers given here? As for the condom cath, I use it exactly as edlee does, which is basically that if I'm at home I don't wear it unless I'll be bending at the waist alot. If I plan on going out for any length of time, I'll wear the condom cath.
Real options for us are limited and are really only partial solutions, but they allow us to function. Somewhat.
Why don't you try telling us just what the problem is? You leak all the time? Only sometimes? Only when you bend at the waist?
I tried the oxyb..it worked but it also slammed my bladder spincter so tight I could not cath without getting a lap full of blood and a really, really bad case of AD ( The kind where the hammer is knocking my head and my teeth rattle)
