Most of us have a regular bowel routine where our bodies become "trained to go." Unfortunately, there are times when we have surprises and me have a problem in our pants. Just wondering how often everyone has involuntary bowel problems? Once a week/ month/ year?

Probably once/year. Though went thru a period of accidents when sat after virtually every bowel routine i.e. Every other day (at that time). Very depressing as it went on several years. Found it was the bisocodyl suppos, you become allergic to them over time. Switched to glycerine and now do my routine each day, no probs generally.

About once every two months I seem to empty every thing I've eaten for the month,,,even tho I've been "on schedule" the whole time.

Sometimes I'm lucky enough ( and fast enough) to get to the bathroom in time. When I,m not,,, like last week, I have a bit of clean up to do.

Some of us, I'm told, can sense the need,,,, I'm not one of those.

They also say that diet and exercise will help,,,,,but I haven't the required willpower to maintain either of those so,,,,hence my problems I guess

You aren't alone,,,,,,,,,,,and we are washable.
