Looking for a Tomco or other brand sidecar to drive a motorcycle from. It is real basic just wheel up on the sidecar and drive bike from there. If anyone knows anybody who would like to sell I am interested.

I've never seen anything like that before and am very curious to know if a passanger could sit on the motorcycle whilst a wheelchair user drove the bike?
If so my wife could be in for a major suprise :D
cheers Ian

yes Ian passengers can ride too. See the bar down by the gas tank the passenger uses that to hold for support. Some models have a windshield for the passenger too....

strange that this came up, I just saw one on ebay. Go to ebay motors(U.S.) type wheelchair in search window, go to motorcycle. Auction ends tomorrow, currently at $440 (resrve not met). I remember these being advertised many years ago.

Good luck,

Jim

I suspect the drive from wheelchair is the key thing - sounds like you want a Martin Conquest

Being summer and having a motorcycle in my garage that I cant ride, I am thinking of selling it this year. Giving into the reality that I wont be able to ride it again. I have been eying up the Spyder for my next bike. Those look cool!

Took me over a year until I sold the bike I got paralyzed on. Was a very sad day, I still miss her.

Yeah might not be the same but there are alternatives. I would get a cheap little trike if it wasnt such work transferring. I used to have a Honda quad and it was fun after I spent 10 minites transferring my butt and my paralyzed leg over the tank. Got the side car so I can just wheelup and go. Might see a garage sale or a nice beach view when riding. I just grab the binders flip the ramp button and I am free to explore in my chair. The Honda 750 will be ok was just hoping to impress the ladies with a shiny new Harley!

I never even rode a motor cycle pre injury and I seriously want one of those, put a rack on the back for the chair and I'd be off - great thing in the UK is that I wouldn't need amotorcycle licence to drive one (more than two wheels and you have to have a car licence).

Still not going to happen any time soon unless I win the lottery.

I've been in a chair now for 2 yrs and am finally setting in that I cant ride it again. My boyfriend is now thinking of selling his bike and taking mine cause I keep going back and forth if I want to sell mine or not. :) I am not much of a traditional trike or harley person I like sport bikes (aka rockets). Mine was a Kawasaki Ninja.

Still a ways off for me too. Thats cool that you dont need a motorcycle license to ride on over there. In the US I know it varies by state but every state I looked up required a motorcycle license. I still have my motorycle endoresement and they didnt take it away from me when I got my license renewed last time. So as long as I continue to check the box saying I want to keep my endoresement that I'm still good, no more motorcycle testing needed!
