Had my Ti for six years now and the upholstery is looking knackered so time for a change Im thinking especially with my sisterswedding looming, however I can't seem to find anywhere selling it. Would be as well finding a suitable fabric and asking a taylor or someone to ake it?

Has anyone else had this problem?

Yeah but it's the age old argument that over here in the UK dealers tend to charge what they feel like especially for Ti chairs. Just wondered if anyone knew somewhere you can order parts online. I especially need a new back and was looking at a carbon fibre one but again no idea how compatible one would be on my old TRC.

I have 2 Ti chairs but never again simply because its impossible to buy any bits you need outside the UK, and the likes of Gerald Simmons basically charge double the US price. Even Tilite themselves wont ship to the UK, they just refer you to GS. Dont bother trying companies like SportAid, they will not ship Ti products to the UK, end of.
Your best bet woulod be to get some bespoke stuff made, at least then you get something nice and someone else gets paid, not GS.

cheers

Thought I would post this. My mate at the gym told me this company supplysome wheelchair manufacturers with this fabric (not sure how accurate or which ones). He said it is a bit expensive but he got and had it tailored for his Quickie and it looks boss. Think I will go with it too.

Hope it helps someone in a similar situation

You could try Bike-on.com I got some Ti-Lite spares from them a few years ago. Quickie and TiLite backs are interchangeabe, at least they are between my TRA and my Quickie Ti.

Do what I am doing - go to your Wheelchair service and say your having postural problems and require a more supporting wheelchair back.

I don't have problems, but by saying this they have to provide you with something more supportive. They told me to come in (when my new chair arrives from the States) so they can assess which solid back is suitable for my particular chair (TiLite ZR).

I cannot claim the credit for this - one of the guys measuring me for my TiLite (from Gerald Simonds) gave me this advice - I'm not so sure he would be willing to hand me more advice as I used his measurements to buy a chair from America - HoHum....thats life eh!!
