Does anyone have any experience with MACE? The infomation that I have gathered from the internet reports great results with improved continence. I am an OT and my patient has a flaccid bowel and has very frequent accidents. While I was researching the Mitrofanoff procedure for another patient I came across the Malone Antigrade Continent Enema (MACE) and wanted to find out if it was as good as the claims.

I was booked in for a bowel op where they use a small stoma on your left side to put an enema into, but thankkfully coloplast brought out theirr enema system just in time!!! I would look into it first. Its called Peristeen.

Still an enema, but no stoma and I have had no accidents for now 8 months!

Emma.
