Hi everyone, you may remember i wrote about my lovely son being injured in a crash with his dad and i was heartbroken, you all helped me through it and gave me a reason to carry on. Well i need your help again, he was released from sheffield at the beginning of may, being told he was T1 complete, since then he has started to wiggle his toes on both feet, full sensation in his right leg but not in his left, but today he has moved his leg on demand. What does this mean, where can he go, how does he move forward from this? is america the best place to get private physio, have search the web but cant find much. He is 19 and both he and is girlfriend will go and do anything for him to be able to walk again. He says he would give up his legs to regain his bowels and bladder and sex function, well at 19, his sex function means the world to him!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Is there anyone out there that can advice us what to do. thank you so much, this site is a God send for so many people.

Hi Nuna,

Have you not got back in touch with your sons Consultant or Physio, at the Spinal injuries unit
at the Princess Royal Spinal Injuries Unit to see if they can do anything about your sons improvement
in his movements. I think anybody would give up their legs to get their bladder, bowels and sex function
back?, because what good his your legs if you cannot control those things.

KEEP ON PUSHING

Hi Nuna
Glad to hear there is some signs. You can also try other hospitals that specialise in sci, talk also to your Dr. you do not have to stay in your area. The are hospitals that are on note. i.e.Royal Orthpedic at Stanmore, also stoke manevolle look around, but also the hospital he was under should be able to help, and if out of there remit that can ytransfer him Good luck
