Hi Scribs,

Don't know if this will help you out or not but seem a lot of people have the same issues with chrome, are you using key board short cuts to Text zoom, if not here are the short cuts:(May make it quicker for you)
Ctrl++ Make text larger
Ctrl+- Make text smaller
Ctrl+0 Return to normal text size

& a suggestion for getting YouTube working is to update Flash Player:
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer

Hope this post isn't wasted & helps,
CR

I love my macbook. Before that I had an ibook and my ibook got so hot that it actually melted some of the plastic on itself. I agree about the sharp front edge on the macbook though.

Could it be the guys watch you in the weight room because you get weighed naked?... :yikes:

Are we from the same planet?.....

What's OSX? Can you get some ointment for it?

Who wrote Macbook?. :paper: Is it a thriller or romance?

Can I get the I-book from an Options? B)

I've not a clue what you two are talking about.... I'm too old for all this high tech stuff...

:D Nice one, Scribbler.

The best ointment for OSX is Oil of Ipod.

I do remember that there was a whole batch of iBooks that had their batteries recalled for heat problems. I didn't have that problem with mine, although I did always use a heating pad with fans...

Snobbery? Nah... well, maybe a teeny tiny bit. I used a PC when I only needed browser+word processor+spreadsheets, and that was generally fine. These days, PC Windows is just a bit too patchy for my needs, but I do still run some of the Windows programmes on my Mac, if clients insist on certain formats. I work in six languages right now, so I need to be able to switch between keyboards and dictionaries easily, which the Mac does very well, and I find the voice recognition and speech synthesis on the Mac better. Plus the storage space.

I could start with the linux snobbery. But, I think greybeard and I are the only users of linux.

Don't get me wrong, I multiple computers, and use multiple os's. OSX is nice and shiny, windows 7 has promise, vista is...well its vista. XP pro with a handful of registry tweaks and the right software is still my preferred OS for gaming and functionality.

I have 3.14159 pieces of Blackberry Pi left

Hand raised, I confess, linux is a part of my server farm. Heck, there is a fully functional Apple II+ from 1978 and a Compaq Deskpro runnin msdos 6.1, in my garage...there are manuals for the Apple Lisa and assembler/pascal compilers; the precursor to the mac, and an unopened box of os/2...

There is also a full version of a dos hosted cobol compiler; hangs head in shame...and if you say anything I'll :suicide:

Um, yea Dave you just went nerdy, can I join you...oh, I already did...propeller hat and pocket protector at the ready :type: I can't seem to find my slide rule...I wonder if it's under Mimi's bed with her ray gun :muahaha:

I don't have a Mac....... But I have a light overcoat; does that count ???

Thanks CR for the tip on zooming in on the text, I now just press Control and + twice to see things better. I tried downloading Flashplayer from the link you added but I've no idea where it went; maybe in my Apple Pi, which I've eaten... :dev:

My new car (or at least new to me) is outside. I want to go for a drive. But I've no where to go.
*sob*

So I'm sat here (using Linux by the way) trying to google Haynes manuals and such for the beast.

I need to vent, this will do..

So I started seeing Kris is Nov.. we didnt start 'dating' till mid Feb.. Now four months later I know this isnt for me. I like him, but I cant see a future with him. I feel as though I've done what I could to test the water and Im certain its not for me.

So we broke up over the phone this morning. I kept it short and sweet.. no reason to pile on bullshit excuses or make it any more personal than needed. The truth is, I cant handle a relationship ( serious or casual) -as of now- and I dont think its fair to drag him along. I tried to explain this to him and he still is feeling so offended.

I understand why someone takes rejection personally, but I cant grasp why this has to be such an ordeal. When did society decide that dating meant u had to dedicate yourself to someone. I thought dating was the casual stage when you got to know each other, then decided if you could really take it to the next level. Why do I owe him an explanation other then " this isnt working for me"?

When did dating get so serious?

Im a little ticked because I feel guilty now. Yet when I went into the dating thing I made it perfectly clear I had nothing to give and wasnt sure if I could really do it.

I'm just so annoyed.. Dating is supposed to be about DATING, not commitment and obligation.

Im so annoyed I refuse to proof read this.. Good luck.

That's exactly why, since my divorce, I have not wanted to date. I don't want to deal with the bullshit and people getting all offended (and most dudes bore the shizz out of me, to be perfectly honest, not to mention that very few can keep up with me). I get asked out a lot but I don't feel the need to be in a relationship right now--or even to date--either so I totally understand how you feel, my creepy Libra twin.

His reaction is just wounded pride, a natural thing. It's like a knee jerk thing, to get pissed off and offended when your pride is hurt.
