Nasty combination there MiMi.. Hopefully the strike doesnt last too long .. Decomposition STINKS!

Yeah, it's not TOO gross yet since the garbage hasn't had time to pile up but give it a few days and it'll be a horror show in the city, especially right downtown in the core. It's actually all the city workers that have gone on strike, not just the garbage collectors, so public facilities like pools are also closed. Total bullshit. Those guys make a TON of money and they still want more. Greed sucks.

Thanks again all for your well wishes.

Mimi, I had pressure sores forming on the balls of both feet (yup, feet really do have balls . . . and mine are quite big!!) I was laid up in bed for 6 weeks last year healing those puppies, so I defiately feel for you. That, and I have a flap surgery on my cocxyx (pronounced cock-sicks).

Man . . . .cock, balls . . . .you'd think I was writing some kind of porno journal or something.

About the trash thing, well I think I even covered that too!--hehe

:mfrlol:

I had a sore on my tailbone once, that was so not pretty. I have actually been worried about the balls of my feet since my footplate has kind of a sharp-ish edge and leaves nasty red marks on my feet. I've been playing the height of the thing, moving it up or down, seeing what's better for my feet.

Played rugby tonight, got home and practically inhaled half a pizza. Worked up an appetite!

Rant over.

I think the city is going to get the private pick-up companies to come get all the trash. The strike is the main story on the news here and they were filming one of the picket lines. One of the union guys go up to the camera, all pissed off, and tells them that the media is "inconveniencing them" and to get across the street to film! WTF! Inconveniencing THEM?? What about the whole city that has NO TRASH PICK UP?! :mfrlol:

Ches, I still wear heels! Keep them! You just need to make sure you have a flat-plated footrest, not a tubular one, so that the heels stay on and a strap around the bottom of your frame so that the heels don't slide off the back of the footrest and fall off. I don't wear them often and don't them on for long but I still wear them. I love pretty shoes!

So, did you guys hear Michael Jackson died?!? We were all pretty stunned at the shop! Farah Fawcett too.

Nice TB! Seems her death is being over-shadowed by Jacko's. But I suppose it's not their death we should think about, it's their lives and how they made us feel.

That pic of Farrah makes me kind of miss my "Feathered" hair.

Ches ~ I'm with Mimi on the shoe deal. Wear them, they're sexy and I'm sure you still look great in them. However, if you are wanting to get rid of them, I wear a size 7.

When we moved from MO to AZ and I finally unpacked all my shoes and put them on the built-in shelves in our master closet, I used up my side and half of Mr. Hapa's and then part of the top shelf. Even after getting rid of ones that melted on the Atlas moving van, I counted 72 pairs of stilletos. I still had sandals and boots to count. I'm nothing like Imelda though, I don't think I paid over $20 for one pair in my closet.

Trin ~ Wish you could've just flown straight here, it's only 107 degrees today. Pool feels great and we can make some sweaty-sock brew! I rarely wear socks, but I'm sure we can gather some from the neighbors.

Scribs ~ Do you have the recipe for that brew? Was it socks, underwear or both? Chunky or smooth? I bet you wish you had a huge pitcher full right now ~ LOL! YUM YUM

Well done Derek, I'm glad someone remembered, bravo...what a brave, genuine, beautiful human being...cancer is with us still and so horrible, something that has unforunatlely touch most of us in some way. That was a one of a kind poster. Here's another picture from the 70s that caught my eye...pure magic, angel indeed.

Elvis is alive and well and working in the Chip Shop down the road.... :dancegirl:

I also miss my 'Feathered Hair' Happa; I've got that fly away hair.....Its just flown away.. :mfromg:

It was in Africa that I had to drink the Zulu concoction that we saw being brewed. It looked like dirty washing up water and tasted like it had been strained through sweaty socks.... Nomis has the recipe and is making a fortune.......

I'm dying to hear about Trin's African adventures; she'd better come clean... :)

Its supposed to be 30C in England this week. I suppose my beautiful PA's will want to lay about in their bikini's all day........ How I suffer... :drooldrip:
