And its goodnight from Scribs...

I wrote that weather forecast CR, sent it in and Mr R Barker read it, as only he could...
I also wrote one of their songs.
I've only just found all these, amongst lots of my old art work, which I'm trying to scan and put on the Art Thread.

I've got the original words I typed CR, If I can't scan it then I'll re type it and send it. It even gives a bit of direction, not that they needed it...

Him (talking to me): Hi!
Me: Um, hi.
Him (kind of laughing): What happened to YOU?
Me (kind of taken aback): Excuse me?
Him: What HAPPENED to YOU?!
Me: NONE OF YOUR f*@kING BUSINESS.
Him: (speechless, walks away)
WTF is wrong with some people?
As if that wasn't enough, me and friend fell down the stairs to her house tonight. She has 4 really big concrete steps going up into her house, a typical downtown Toronto house. She's helping me down in my chair and her husband was standing behind us just about to help and I decided I was just gonna try to bump down the stairs in my chair, holding onto the railing, going forwards. Somehow, as she grabbed the front of my chair to kind of help, she lost her balance, my chair went tipping over backwards and we both went tumbling down the stairs. It was more funny than anything else because I somehow just stayed in my chair as it went down the stairs and clung to the railing so I didn't actually get hurt and she just landed on her ass backwards, her legs kind of going over her head. The whole street could probably hear us laughing. I'm still laughing about it. Ridiculous.

My old bathroom is being ripped out and the new one (with wonderful shower of joy) is being fitted next week. Can't tell you how excited it is to see an end of 4 years of washing in the kitchen sink!
*does the happy dance*

Copyright and licensing issues, I think. I'm not sure, but I know that sites like youtube, hulu and googlevideo will check your IP address. If the video in question was posted officially by the owner of the material, and is something that is free-to-air in say the US but shown on a pay-to-view channel in the UK and Germany, then you can watch it if your IP address is in the US, not if it's in the UK or Germany. DVD release schedules might also play a role: if it's around the time the DVD comes out in the US, a snippet might be permitted to be available in the US, but not elsewhere.
Of course, many people post illegal copies of material, and production companies or broadcasters will seek them out and have them removed. The copies. Not the people.

Wow. I'm a huge fan of the Ronnies. What was it like hearing them perform your scripts?
They had so many classic sketches.

My thought for the day.
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead.
Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow.
Do not walk beside me for the path is narrow.
In fact, just bugger off and leave me alone. ...

That’s not the attitude to have when you’re taking the dog for a walk.

Actually, this is literal and metaphorical. I had friends that walked in front of me and wouldn't walk fast enough or stop suddenly. They didn't walk in front of me anymore..
No seriously, it works.
