I thought "huffers" were those idiots who sniff paint to get a "high".....though we all know it's just dying braincells. I would say why waste a perfectly good brain huffing paint.......but since they're killing their brain to get a buzz I'm thinking they may not have had the best melons on their shoulders to begin with.

I've never heard a 'Cob' called a 'Huffer' CR; is it an Essex term?

As for Bouncers 'Muffin'...... There used to be 'Muffin the Mule', but its illegal now.... :)

Down around 'ere the word "Cob" is usually associated with a way cottage walls used to be made, hence "Cob Cottages". Traditionally the outer walls were smeared with a mixture made with cow or horse shit and other goodies, slapped on by the handful, which leaves a regular, lumpy surface. This is then painted with lime wash, often tinted pink. The finished product, with a thatched roof, is very attractive and weatherproof - so I'm told.

Around here a 'cob' is a round loaf of bread that's nice and crusty. Never heard of a 'huffer' or 'breadcake'. Can't say I like the sound of 'breadcake'.

Across the pond we have a cobb salad--comes with everything in it EXCEPT lettuce.

Then, their's corn on the cob.

GB, we call that house mixture ADOBE . . . . something similar to the way Native American Aztecs built their homes. Can't say for certain weather horse manure was in there or not, but I wouldn't put it past 'em.

CR, Still not sure 'bout that bread cake? Is it like pound cake, fruit cake, angel food cake???

If in fact, it IS fruit cake, you can KEEP it!! :)

I'll take 2 sausage rolls, Scribs. ESPECIALLY if their like flakey, buttery croissant bread on the outside. :drooldrip:

Bouncer. Yes our Butchers sausage rolls have lovely flaky pastry and are filled with a sausage meat mixture, which has herbs in to give it a unique flavour. I'll buy one and post a photo of me eating it... :)

Cob has different meanings in different parts of the UK. A Welsh Cob is a pony; the largest pony but slightly smaller than a horse.

If you went to a Bakers in this part of the UK and asked for cob's, you'd get bread-rolls. Isn't English complicated; or is it us?... :)

Do you have éclairs in America? They are made from Choux pastry, filled with cream and have a chocolate topping... :licklips:

Just like this Bouncer..... :)
