Ha Ha... Alas no......I'm trying to think of some similarities between the two occupations, but apart from it sometimes being hot and wet it's quite easy to get lost there.....
My spine is all wrong but my backbone is strong.

The Allergists voted to scratch it, but the Dermatologists advised not to make any rash moves.
The Gastroenterologists had sort of a gut feeling about it but the Neurologists thought the Administration had a lot of nerve.
The Obstetricians felt they were all laboring under a misconception.
Ophthalmologists considered the idea shortsighted.
Pathologists yelled, "Over my dead body!" while the Pediatricians said, 'Oh, Grow up!'
The Psychiatrists thought the whole idea was madness, while the Radiologists could see right through it.
Surgeons decided to wash their hands of the whole thing..
The Internists thought it was a bitter pill to swallow, and the Plastic Surgeons said, "This puts a whole new face on the matter."
The Podiatrists thought it was a step forward, but the Urologists were pissed off at the whole idea.
The Anesthesiologists thought the whole idea was a gas and the Cardiologists didn't have the heart to say no.
In the end, the Proctologists won out, leaving the entire decision up to the buttholes in Washington...

I know. Let's start another thread about religion. After-all we've only got three on the go at the moment.

Buying a new car as retail therapy is a bit extreme Clara, is it not? Get some pictures for the car nuts out there. We got our new (to us) Land Rover last week, after a weeks delay caused by a flat battery. I drove it a few times last week, and on Monday, but my doc told me I have another uti on Tuesday morning, so I am now extremely bored, feeling fairly crap, and sitting here looking at said Land Rover. So now I'm frustrated and bored!
But.....(everybody breathe a sigh of relief)......at least I did'nt pass out this time, and my blood pressure did'nt get as low, and I've not had to be in hospital. Yet. The doc even reckons the anti biotics might even work this time, we'll see. Anyway, I'm off to be bored again.

Unfortunately the trailer has been stolen (far too exciting for this thread) so the car is stuck awaiting the hope that I can hire a replacement tomorrow.
It is a little extreme, but retail therapy is what women do I'm told. Unfortunately since I am not into designer shoes or handbags (and I already have enough tools) the only thing left was a car...

Eh? Why limit yourself to a car? Where's your sense of adventure? What about a helicopter ...... or even an autogyro?

Shame on you Trin! Didn't you watch James Bond swooping round the sky on a little egg-beater type thing, dodging machine gun bullets from several proper helicopters.
An autogyro has a rotor like a helicopter but the blades aren't powered. The rotor is made to spin by the movement of air which in turn give the machine "lift". The movement of air is achieved by a dirty great fan fixed behind the driver's seat that pushes the contraption along.

Unfortunately until I get the back garden finished I wont have anywhere to land a helicopter and autogyros really do cause looks of scourn around here.
I /almost/ brought a double decker bus (bright red Routemaster) but was out bid at the last minute by £20.00 ... I could have cried. But then again I have been trying to buy a portable steam roller for the past three months though the owner keeps messing me around so hope springs for a shiny new toy one day!!
I am off today on a teacher assistant training course - two days of sitting at the back of a cold class room being taught how to.... sit in the back of a cold class room? It seemed a good idea at the time.
(Also hoping to collect trailer rev 2 today in the hope of getting this cheer me up car home! I can drive trailers without a problem, but is it wrong to consider acting all dumb and girly so that I don't have to hitch it up?)

I hope you're feeling better msg but I think you and your cute little daughter should be banned for mentioning Bob the Builder!!!..
All this,
Whenever I ask her things like, "Will you make me a coffee please Zdenka"? All I get back is,
Am I bored of it?

I'm feeling slightly better now, thanks Scrib's. We'll see what the next couple of day's brings. Still hoping to avoid the hospital this time.
Glad to see Zdenka is keeping you amused
Hope she had a nice holiday, by the way.

My teacher assistant course is in fact a City & Guild teaching course - level three (enabling me to teach other members of Saint John).
Right now I am absolutely bricking it as much as my constipated little back side will let me. I have to "teach" for 10 minutes showing people how to put slings on... how I do that from this position I have no idea!!!

Two countries separated by a common language, sometimes I'm so confused; a sling is slang for a bra in some areas of the USA, not sure I could help much with putting them on, taking them off perhaps...depending on the type of clasp of course, as I've had some practice
