Nomis,
It gets boring in this post without having you around. Does that explain it?

Tiger's trying to work things out with the wife, and the razor company, Schick, dropped him as a sponsor to allow him privacy with his family . . . . or that's what they claim, anyway.

But, between you and me, I think they really dropped him because he had affairs with high priced hookers. I mean, I'm pretty sure they would have dropped him even if thy were low, bottom of the barrel hookers too. These ones just so happen to have been extremely beatiful women.

Oh, back to the Schick thing. So, as I was saying, they dropped him, I believe, because they didn't want his affairs to lose sales in their company, especially during the holiday season. Could you imagine how many stockings hung over the mantle would have gone unstuffed with Schick razors had they not pulled Tiger out of their campagn?

To be honest, I never knew Schick was sponsering him. And, when it's all said and done, I don't even use disposable razors myself . . . I use electric. . . better for the environment and all. Besides, with the amount of catheters I use in a year, I figure my greenness on this earth is pretty well shot anyway. But I'm trying to make amends where I can.

Thanks Nomis for bringing all this to light. :D

Much as I love soup, that's way too adventurous for me in the morning.

I have to choose something a little more viscous, like porridge, that I can eat with one hand without slopping it everywhere. My hands tend to wobble less as the day progresses so soup is reserved for lunchtime or later. :D

"Soup? Why haven't I got soup?"
"It's not soup, it's coffee."
"Well why can't you drink it out of a coffee cup like any normal person?"

Quote from which film? and, Bonus Point: what's the next line?

A string and a door with knob should nicely do the trick.

I just came back from a meeting. I have another meeting in 5 minutes.

Guido, the movie is Marwood and the next line is: Why can't you wash up occasionally like a normal human being?

But I can't take credit for knowing it; just had to google 'til I found it. What the heck is Marwood?

The quote is correct, Hooplady. But the film is not (unless it got released under a different name in the US). I don't know what Marwood is! I just googled it and it came up with so many options that look like nothing to do with what you found!

And this how we lose hours of our lives....

So, film still out there, people. Bueller, bueller, anyone, anyone....

Oops, that's the character's name. IMDB sez the movie is Withnail & I, which is still Greek to this Yank!

End of this round, Hooplady leads!

Bit of a cult classic film in the UK, not sure whether it would translate well or not over the pond.

Well, that's good enough recommendation for me! I shall have to haunt the obscure British film section (which I used to enjoy a lot, actually, dunno why I don't anymore).

The question is...will I need subtitles? I recall the Northern accent being so thick in Billy Elliott I just gave up and enjoyed the dancing...

Friday night.
I am so rock and roll I am curled up with my blanket with the television on Five USA. I don't know whether it would scare me to wonder if these programmes were based on real life.

So instead I will continue the laying with my feet in the air (here's hoping it helps them stay warm!) and stay in my happy little world.

That is one mighty sneeze! Hope it doesn't cause much annoyance. How are you going to play Santa Claus now? And after all of that effect we went to converting your chair to a magical sledge and force feeding you for that authentic gut!

Hmm, it's 01:15. Perfect time to start cleaning the carpets? Ooh I could defrost the freezer perhaps. Perfect timing - I can put everything outside and not have to worry about it spoiling.

Actually if any americans do try swimming over it (apart from finding it hard going as it's colder and um... dryer than in Burma) the regime might not react in quite the same way!

My roof is leaking now that the snow is starting to melt.

Worst of it all is that it's ruined the batch of muffins I'd left on the counter to cool.
