Hi!

I’m hoping there may be some visitors to this forum who would be interested in helping to develop the next generation of bladder / bowel continence care products….and earn some cash at the same time! If you think this could be you then please read on.

I’m seeking a small number of people who live with a spinal cord injury (including spina bifida) and who regularly use continence care products, for bladder management, bowel management, or both.

This is a great opportunity to get your voice heard in the development of these products. All the process will involve is a short (approx 60 minute) interview in which we’d like you to discuss your experiences of living with a SCI and using continence care products.

The interviews are discrete, confidential and undertaken in a professional manner. They will be completed over the next two weeks. The work is being undertaken for a leading manufacturer of continence care products and they’re keen to understand exactly what it is their customers want. This is your chance to tell them!

Respondents must be over 18 and based in the US (SCI) and US or UK (spina bifida). We’re particularly (though not exclusively) interested in those of you who use intermittent catheters, male external catheters, leg-bags and any type of bowel management solution such as suppositories, PAI, etc. We’re seeking both men and women for the project.

US interviews will be undertaken over the ‘phone, UK interviews will be face-to-face or over the ‘phone.

If you think you might be interested in taking part in this project and can spare an hour of your time over the next couple of weeks, please PM me or respond to me at nicki.sutton@strategyn.com.

You can find out more about Strategyn; the company I work for and how they have helped the world’s leading medical device companies develop new groundbreaking products here: http://www.strategyn.co.uk

All the best and I hope I might hear from some of you soon!

Hi everyone,

Just a quick message to thank all of you who responded to my post above.

It wasn't possible to interview everbody so apologies to those who missed out.

There will be another chance to participate in the next step of the research and I shall post details of how to get involved with this shortly.

To those of you who I still have to interview...don't worry I haven't forgotten!! Expect to hear from me soon. :dunno:

I'm still hoping there may be one more person living with spina bifida out there who would be happy to participate. If anyone knows someone who they think might be interested please pass this message on to them. We pay both the person who is being interviewed and the person who referred them!!

All the best everyone and thanks again!

Nicki
