Has this just started, or have you had it a while?

I just started having some issues with my feet, although not quite as sensitive as you describe. My PT says that this happens sometimes when your sensory function is starting to return. Unfortunately, there's no way of knowing how long it will last, but if that's the case, it is temporary.

It started right after surgery and progressively got worse. I just wonder if it's going to peak and get better or am I stuck with it!

I had hypersensitivity right after my injury a year and a half ago. Mine was severe in the beginning and I couldn’t even be touched. It is so much less now and it comes and goes. I think everyone’s injury is different especially since yours is getting stronger.

I wish you well.

I'm C4/5 incomplete and can feel all over. I have hypersensitivity in my toes, which I've had for years. I hate having my toenail's cut but I've learnt to switch off.

In the last year the backs of my thighs have become extremely hypersensitive, its as if the skins been torn off. Its so sore that I spasm more than I did; even if I stay off my thighs they still feel sore and hypersensitive.

We are all different so I cant say its due to being newly injured as I was injured 50 years ago. I must admit that I appear to have more sensation than I did 20 years ago, or it could be just more aches and pains with old age.

It still doesn't explain the recent and extreme hypersensitivity to the backs of my thighs. There aren't any marks or pink areas but it still feels like the skins been ripped off them.

Sorry I've no advice for you.

Mike
