I'm going on holiday next month and fancy doing a tandem skydive. The company I've been in contact with say they have extensive experience of jumping with paras and quads but I'm a little nervous about landing....I don't want to break my legs! Has anyone tried it?
Thanks, Clive

Yeah I did it a few years ago.
Being a bit on the lanky side, they decided to strap my legs in a cannonball kind of position (knees near my chest).
Was a real pain getting inside the little Cessna, but getting out was much quicker
Landing was fine as we had a great day & a very experienced jumper.
Do it! Before your bones get to brittle

Thanks for the replies!
I was told my legs would be strapped up out of the way for landing which was my major worry, and I've got to answer questions on catheters, metal etc. The guy who does the tandem jumps with paras is on holiday until 21st August but he's asked me to phone him when he gets back so that we can go over everything in detail as he says there's a lot of info he needs before he'll agree to take me. I find his concern reassuring. My AB daughter is also going to make a jump but my wife most definitely won't be jumping and has issued me with a stern warning that if I break a leg and spoil the holiday I can look out!!
I'm really excited at the thought of doing something wild, it must be an awesome feeling dropping through the sky! Next step is to look for insurance cover...I wouldn't like to be landed with a huge medical bill!

Hi, I done a Skydive recently, well 2weeks ago actually. It was amazing!!!
Normally for the landing you would land on your arse and your legs strapped to his, but i wasnt and landed on our feet as were harnessed together anyway he held me up.
Anyway check out my vid:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jseBZUgjiiM
Just make sure your 100% up for it and you'll be fine, I seen some freak out lol But I always wanted to do a jump so I was fine and Loved it!
Hope you do one, well worth it!!
Good luck!
