I just got my camera back so no pics of me surfin at the moment, but here is a few of my stick. ]
The board has alot of rocker to help get into the waves. It is a double thick deck spooned out in the rear section to help hold my legs on the board. It has regular sized rails and fins. The handles are glassed into the board to help steer and have more control. This is my first board after my injury so it was our prototype. The first time I took it out i was 7 for 7 no wipeouts or pearls. When I used my reg old board I could only catch maybe 1 outta 8. I ate shit all day! So I guess we are on the right track. We are in process of shapin some more high performance boards, let yall know how they turn out. Oh yeah here is a pick of my beach cruiser as well.

HI Trinity

Sorry, have tried to email / reply before on your surfing thread. The main thing my husand found would be a problem is the upper body strength to keep his head out of the waves - he is a tera so you may be fine. He thought that it would be good to have a wedge to rest his torso on...see life rols on surfing website....have lots of fun, if you don't try, you don't know!

How would knee pads with Velcro do for keeping your legs on the board? I would need full body Velcro but it sounds like a blast. You can come out here and try the Mavericks......................

Hey Chef, nice board!...However, be very careful using pegs those peg handles... With your board being so close to your head already, the last thing you want is for the wave to closeout and send your peg handles back at your face...If you sink a pair of FCS plugs into the top, you can use 8 gauge polyurethane tubing and stainless hardware to make a set of soft handles. From there, you can custom mold whatever kind of grips you want to it!...You'll find it will give you far more aggressive turning, without the danger of impaling yourself when the wave closes out!

Yea nice stick. Me and my buddy have been workin on a few new shapes, that was for me straight out of the hospital. We tried the horizontal handle like yours but found the vertical handle was a more natural postion while lying on the board. It also allows me to use my elbows right above the rails for stability and more force in the turns. To each their own I guess. I got a gun and a fish about to be glassed in ur neighborhood. My buddy who shapes for me moved to Santa Cruz and does some work for Freeline. That wouldnt be the Pete's dad you speak of, Mel? and Skindog? He said he has seen you out there and actually saw you snake someone unless it was some other guy in a chair out. Says your always on your phone sittin out on the point, gonna tell him to bug you. So dont be suprised if some stranger starts rappin out with ya about his friend in a chair.

Looks great. I wanted to surf after my injury but always thought I had to stand up unless body boarding which I have done. Shocked a few people when I stood up with my pants around my knees though. Do you need to fold your legs under you when using one of these?

Ya, your talking about John Mel...and yes Ken "Skindog" Collins. No that was me, I live on Pleasure Point three streets down from Freeline and if I snaked anyone at first peak, it would have been someone who should'nt have been out there to begin with! I've know they Mel's for 15 years now, john actually shaped my first board for me after I got out of the hospital, a 6'4 fish! Just make sure you guy's dig a progressive rocker into it, it will have a tendency to pearl on most waves over 7'.

Small f---ing world, bro! Haha I wasnt trying to give everyone their whole names, that was all you! My bro lives on Scriver St. right down from the point and does some work for John at Freeline. My bud has his own lil line he has been pumping out for a awhile, Unit B or GBD (Ghetto By Design). Good peeps! John hooked him up with a stall to shape in and access to his glasser. Actually have 2 boards sitting at the glass shop right now, if they get done within the week I might run over and pick them up. I will give ya a shout if that ends up being the case. Surf camp in Costa thats all accessible huh. Damn your a step ahead of me, thats what I am headin down there to do. Well I might be getting a hold of you to pick your brain a lil. Good to know Im not the only fish stuck in a chair with visions of grandeur. Keep up the good work Bro!

Those are produced by Colours wheelchairs, the chair is call the Tremor. The big balloon tires work alright, but to me honest, a pair of super wide knobbies will work far better for you in most situations out there.
