Nice Harley's guys, there's a lot about over here in England, I've seen them on their rallies.

Thanks for posting your pics, I'm pleased this thread has taken off so well.

You have a really cheeky smile Kate32, I hope you'll always keep that smile throughout your life. Thanks for the photos.

I am looking into getting one of these sidecars built so I can ride my chain up on it and take it with me and get the wind hitting my face again by next summer.

Great idea DAgent, but have you thought of getting a 3 wheeler you wheel in and can actually ride yourself? I hope you've kept your leathers...

He is great. I mean come on look what happened to him. He survived a 500 foot fall while flipping bumper to bumper (front to back) 5 times! He never blacked out,he only had a few minor cuts...oh and is paralyzed. But so what at least he can say he lived through that.

Wrecking my pickup totalled it out. Got a check for more a little more that what I owed on it! So that was good... :)

Dont think I have seen one of those. I thought about trading my bike in for a trike but decided to go with the sidecar because my wheelchair seat and motorcycle seat will be the same height and trandfering will be easier. I am going to have to add the hand shifter to change gears and rework the back brake but I am hoping to be in the wind by next summer. I will figure out something because this is something I will not give up.

Good for you DAgent, its great to read how determined you are; that's what keeps us going. I'm sure you'll figure things out, especially if you know a good mechanic.

When I first stated driving after my injury, there wasn't any real car adaptions like todays high tech stuff; I just worked it out for myself. I'd go somewhere quiet, like a disused airstrip and tape pieces of wood to things to see if they worked; it sounds rather strange now. :mfromg:

I eventually worked out various ways how to use my indicators and how to switch on and dip my lights. With the help of a enthusiastic Mechanic we fitted a 3 way motor-bike switch to my accelerator/brake lever, so I could indicate with my thumb. We also fitted a press button switch in the door panal, just by the arm rest; all I did was press it with my elbow and I could dip my lights.

Its amazing what you can do if you are determined, which you obviously are. Well done DAgent and good luck; please keep us informed of your progress.

Here are a couple of pics of me from a couple of years ago. Two of them were from events that I threw.

I definitely had some good times.

Hey Everyone,

Nice pictures!

I must admit, I must not be in a very good place today, or something. I just looked through all the pictures and read just a few of the quotes... nevertheless, I am feeling sort of sad. Why is that? You would think seeing all these awesome photos would make me feel good. Maybe I should have waited until I spent more time on the other stuff, before coming and looking at everyones before pictures?

Weird. I was not expecting this sort of feeling. I still enjoyed looking at all the pictures though. Thanks for sharing!
