There's a big difference in the photos Heather, as I think you look even more attractive now. :)

I read your profile and agree about making new friends, so don't be afraid to talk to someone first.
Its not that other people are rude, its just they don't know how to cope with the situation.
I'm sure they want to be friendly, but are frightened about offending you. They just need educating about SCI.

I always speak first and always smile at them; it works every time, especially when I'm travelling and have to deal with other people.

By he way; I think you've done amazingly well in your 4 years; you have such a positive attitude. Good luck for 2010.

Mike :)

PS. If you go back to the start of this Thread, you can see me when I was young, good looking and had hair...... LOL

Don't you believe it. It was a wig. He's still wearing them. The latest was a shoulder length blond one.
He looked very sexy (or so some of his fan club thought) :D

i have more i'd like to share, but i don't want to be that one person that's annoying w/ her pics. lol, i think i've already shown more!!! i just like to show people how i once was, that's all. Plus i like looking at the good memories i had w/ my kids and fam!

forgot to label. That's me in the white and pink football jersey, keeping the football from my son and my lil sister, me on my bike that broke my back, me getting a tattoo on my foot, and me and my lil sis just before her homecoming dance in my old dress. i was stuck in surgery all night, but made her come by the hospital so i could see her before she left. She was living w/ me at the time. I was raising her pretty much. The football day was the last thanksgiving i walked. We always played football on thanksgiving. I actually haven't even had a thanksgiving w/ my family since that day!

oh why not?? lol

This is just one month before my accident. I was just pulling up to a gas pump, had been waiting my turn and that's why I've got no brain bucket on. I always wore my helmet.

Nice Monster Hurb! I had one myself, bought it in 1993 when they first came out. I had a blast with that bike for many years until I traded it to my brother.

The attached pictures are not too long after I bought the bike and, as you can see, it is still entirely stock. The first picture is me and my nephew. It seems like it was just the other day and it's hard to believe he's 17 now and riding his own motorcycles. The second and third pictures are of my dad and nephew.

Nice one araitn, fancy that little chap riding his own bike now, but he seemed to be doing a great job on yours... :)

Yesterday I looked back to when I first posted this Thread. What memories and stories there must be, as each picture tells a story.
I'm so pleased this thread took off; there are some great members on this site, so its nice to get to know one another.
