This one makes me angry times 2. I have the utmost respect for veterans and anyone in the armed forces whether in a war or not. Just as police officers and fire fighters. You take on the position and know you might have to risk your life. None of them get paid enough, but to overlook needs of the injured while on duty or not is repulsive.

Also, the government's total disregard for the needs of the disabled is just unacceptable.

Has anyone read the thread I started about Fighting for the rights of the disabled? I posted it last week and I refer to all of us, AB (connected to someone with SCI) or SCI supporting each other by going after establishments who refuse to accomodate people with disabilities within reason. I know some of us get angry and just vent, but if something happens to someone who basically had their rights stripped due to their disabilities, lets post contact info on who to write, call, email and bombard these companies.

As far as the U.S. government. Stay aware of the bills (State or Federal) being put up for debate and/or vote and lets all find out who our Representatives & Senators are (I know who mine are) both State and Federal and all it takes it a call to each stating you are a voter and you would like Senator . . . or Representative . . . to know you are for or against this or that. I am a registered voter, but I don't believe they have the time to check if you are or not. It doesn't take that long to make a phone call. Bombard the government with calls. The legislators are going to listen to the public, well okay, there are just some in office for an ego trip and benefits, but voice your opinion and lets get some bills passed that will help with funding, research, etc. It takes a village!!!!!! So let's light some fires under some asses.
