Hi.

I'm a C3-7 incomplete. I have a neurogenic bladder and I use medication to help empty my bladder. No catheter yet.

I have a recurring problem of urinary debris which mimics kidney stones. The tests for kidney stones are always negative so the doctors don't believe me. My urologist says it's just urinary debris and there is nothing he can do for it.

Anybody else have this problem and have any advice?

I take D-Mannose supplements to prevent UTIs (not sure I've have one in the almost 14 years since the accident).

What kind of debris we talking about here? Kidney stones are just that; hard sand-like grains. Bladder stones are even bigger.

You can have all sorts of stuff coming out. I sometimes get crud that looks like stringy mucous/snot or wet bread-crumbs. It happens sometimes when I have a bit of the flu. Keeping up your fluid intake will help clear things up.

Sort of sounds like you aren't getting enough fluids. AND that you may not be getting your bladder emptied all the way. Have you tried using a catheter occasionally, just to empty the bladder completely?
Just my 2 cents!
