My partner is currenty in hospital and is having huge problems with "firing off"! He is a T5 complete injury.

He has had botox which worked for a week or so but it is really bad again. So much so that he does an SIC, gets into his chair and then fires off. It is really getting him down! They have recommended a second lot of Botox and if thay doesn't help they are talking of an operation to "patch" his bladder. He has been taken Oxyibutin for ages and it doesn't seem to be doing anything.

Has anybody been through this to? He is getting so upset and he is about to leave hospital and I'm worried if it carrys on that it will hinder his rehabilitation.

Any advice would be gratefully received!!

Thanks :D

I'm guessing he's been tested for the obvious UTI? Maybe he needs to have a look for kidney or bladder stones as well? Sorry to hear about the problems, but these spazms are USUALLY a sign of something much bigger.
