I saw a thing on The Science Channel about him, and other things. I think it was on "Beyond Tomorrow" or maybe even "Medical Miricles" or something like that. There was another part where a guy who had a brain injury or masive stroke or something that left him with only the use of his eyes where he could only blink once or twice for yes and no questions. They did a similar procedure on him so now he can actually comunicate by using the chip and computer to choose and spell words and stuff. Now they are making chips that actually grow into neurons and grow their own cells to attach in. Lot's of cool stuff coming out these days.

I'm definitely keeping a positive mindset towards the progress being made now, I'm certain we will see scientific/medical improvement for SCI sooner than later!

Interesting, but I think it will take longer than 5 years for this kind of device to become a reality in terms of muscle movement. In theory it's quite extraordinary.
