Have you given your number out to anyone new lately?
Would hate for you to get cheated.
My advice. Skip the surgery, take the 30k and go to a recovery center. No promises there either tho.

Stem cell therapy is a miracle for the future. If it offered reliable improvements now, it would be mainstream now. The Dominican Republic is a very poor country not normally associated with being at the cutting edge of medical research. I think your doctor needs reporting.

ALS forum
If I were you Id take your settlement and spend the money on things that will really improve your life not waste it on some desperate hope. When news of a breakthrough in stem cell research comes it will be from trusted researchers who have spent a lifetime looking for the answer like Dr Wise Young, not some unknown. (shes says politly).
cheers

Stuff like this makes me wish there really was a Micheal Westen (the main character in Burn Notice) around. Yeah, this has "scam" written all over it.

Hi Manda i really feel for you in your situation obviously you want this to be the real deal im sure everyone would want this to be legit but i have to agree with others about what they have said!! I mean im no medic and have very little knowledge on spinal injuries or cures and treatments for them my injury is a dream compared to what you are going through and so i know how desperate you must be for that MIRACLE CURE but this does not seem right and i like all the others would hate to see you get ripped off and endure more hurt in your life although at the end of the day only you can make the decision! It is a hell of alot of money which im sure like other members have said you could use in other areas of your life! I really wish you well and im sure the decision you make will be the right one x x

Anyone that asks you to wire money two weeks prior to the surgery in a poor foriegn country should be closely investigated.

The CAPS key on your keyboard seems to be locked down. Makes reading hard and suggests you're shouting. Sure would appreciate a mixture of lower and upper cases.
Although I cannot move and I have to speak through a computer, in my mind I am free.

I know you got the hint, but I did find it amusing that this call was out of the DR. You would've had a hard time gettin' around down there anyway, until you could walk that is . . . sheeeeesh, there I go again!
