Anyone have issues with their SP tube plugging up then leading to autonomic dysreflexia? Mine has plugged three or four times this week, we even flushed the tube. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Hurb :)

Been doin' SP for about 16 mos now - couldn't tolerate the ICP or the condom.

I drink water like a fish. Work extra hard at cleanliness around the meatus and of the "apparatus". Drink cranberry juice regularly; have apple cider vinegar mix in my salad dressing; change caths every 15 rather than 30 days.

So far, I've had only two jammed caths. The sediment in the urine seems to settle (novel idea!) during my sleep. Result can be plugged pipes.

Good luck to us all!

Yeah, the more water you drink the more it will flush it out for you.

I too drink tons of water, but when the tubes not draining properly it builds up then whammo, AD. I'll try the clear catheter. Thanks guys.
