Just wondering if anyone ever tried laying in a hammock with a section cut out for the bed sore. It would allow the air to circulate around the sore. We are grasping at anything now that my father's decubitous ulcer has reached a stage that is shocking. Hospice wound care specialist has now prescribed a cream that is supposed to be a second skin. Why did they wait so long? I thought you were supposed to prevent this kind of situation and not do things after the fact. He also has cancer so I guess they gave up oon trying to improve the situation.

I was in a burns hammock in hospital but mine got worse. The hammock never had a hole in it though. In the end a stryker bed worked for me. Not sure if it would work but how about a swim ring or haemorrhoid cushion?
