Who is more authoritative in matters of sci injuries?

a physiotherapist or an orthopedist.

I sprained my knee due to over stretching but I dont know who is more credible to go to.

My right heel has been swollen after stretching it by one of the therapist B)

I suggest your see a doctor on that. If your physio has caused the strain, then why go to her about it except to maybe inform her what's happened.
Your doctor should refer you to a specialist if he thinks its necessary

The doctor is always in higher rank than the therapist. You should communicate to your therapist that your ankle is swolllen after the stretching she did. If you are having contracture and manual stretching is being done after a long period w/o beign stretched, most likely what happened is that it was overstretched and there is inflamation reacting,a nd this swelling willl go away, it is not completely unusual to happens, if your knee is injury you should go to the Doctor and probably get yourr therapist to call the Doctor if he was the one refering you there. Both should work closely, give a chance to the therapist to explain how the body react when doing stretching if you don't feel completely satisfy ask tosee another one. Confidence, and Trust between a doctor patient, or a therapist/patient is very important and I would say is their is not trust , not matter how hard the doctor or therapist try, there are goign to be limitation to your progress. It is my opinion

Ouch B)

benok:
You should mention it to both--don't your orthopedist and your therapist work as a team? If you are uncomfortable with anything that they do you should express those concerns.

You should definitely get it checked out by your doctor who might refer you to someone else.
