some get period back in first week, first two weeks, a majority gets it back in first 6 months. i heard instances where because of stress and other injuries like a tbi you could not have it for up to a year, anyone i hope can explain...reflexes come back if you were in spinal shock and got your period. besides for reflexes, could voluntary function come back?

Sorry Im not sure what the question is here? Are you asking if once someones monthly cycle returns could they get further fuction returning? If so then I have to say as far as Im aware the 2 are totally unrelated. Periods are regulated by hormones. So its a bit like saying, that your pancreas works so will you be able to walk?

I agree with you.
Can you walk, however, with no period? They are unrelated, but is your body in "spinal shock". some say it lasts minutes, hours, weeks, months. after spinal shock receds and you have reflexes like Bulbac and others, are there experiences or just anyone has any voluntary function been unmasked?

I think the period stops with the trauma.. but then is set aside.. When the human body is hurt beyond everyday repairs it will completely shut down some areas and begin to prioritize. Obviously reproduction isnt a main concern for a newly injured body. The period doesnt have so much to do with Spinal Shock beyond the initial incident.
If youre asking, can the body withdrawal itself due to the trauma and suddenly 'awake' aka regain function. Yes.. happens all the time. Those people are usually just paralyzed a few days (if even that long) and will typically wake up and pretty much gained it back over night. Now.. Long term isnt so common.. thats when its obvious your spinal cord is injured, and possibly has healed itself in some sense..
Hmm.. Hope that helps?

Nothing worthy at the 3 months mark, just a unexpected bloody mess..lol. Periods werent heavy at all, still arent. Thats a plus..
I, like Manda, have gained back the symptoms over time. Maybe first was a sick belly, cramps which started as just spasm then came the pain that goes with, then on to all the other shit. Im a year and half now and I get it all, sore back, bones, tummy ache, cramps.. you name it. Gods little gift.
