Hey guys,

I was wondering if and how maybe some of you people with SCI still go on waterslides?
I haven't really thought about going on one since I've got my SCI but now I miss it. Plus, I go swimming regularly, and there always are waterslides.
So, I'm thinking about having some fun again. But I wonder if that's possible, a good idea or rather a bad idea. I know that there's the topic of going up these damned stairs.

But I'm more afraid of crashing my legs cause I can't get them out of the way in a sudden curve or something like that..

Anyone who want to share experiences, ideas, suggestions, warnings..?

I was wondering this same thing. I would go down a waterslide no doubt, but not sure how to get to the top of any of them as all of them I see have a lot of steps and I think scootching up them would be too tiring. If there was a lift of some sort though I would definatly do it!

I have seen some where they use small inflatable boats which could help. Just watch out for abrasions as they could end up as pressure sores. I have thought about going on them too. I have hypersensitive feet and skin on bone grafts which don't take well to knocking. Nothing a good pair of those beach booties and a mat wouldn't help with. As for going head first, I would rather hit my feet than my head. Maybe going during a week and not during school holidays could be an idea if work allows as then you would have the place virtually to yourself.
