Has anyone had any experience with the Fletcher Allen Spine Center in Burlington, Vermont? Specifically Dr. Robert Monsey.

I'm trying to decide whether to have surgery that could go wrong and leave me totally parelyzed, take my chances and slowly become totally parelyzed, or have the surgery and get better.
