Hi! This is my first time on here and i am desperately seeking anyone who has been paralysed by cancer. My husband (46)has Melanoma. he is terminal and it has taken over his T3 resulting in his recent paralysis. His pain is excruciating so he's on major drugs. This site is amazing but I cant find anything or anyone in our situation. Moving him is not the same as a 'normal' paraplegic and the equipment he needs is not available as he needs to be leaning over or on his knees when he sits. (which he rarely does due to pain) Any sort of advice or tips are much appreciated. I am not sure how to get back to your answers though!

Ouch, is he on oral or injection? I had a thing that when the pain got bad I could give myself medication at the pain site. Welcome

He's on oral meds-methadone pills 4x per day, subcutaneous Hydromorphone, breakthru oxynorm, dexamethasone and a few incidentals!
he is 'stoned' all day and still has pain!
its just heartbreaking as in April he was paragliding, renovating our home, taken a cruise to the mediterreanean and well, just living!!
I can handle the paralysis but the pain aspect as well is just @#$%.

Thanks for replying. It is really sad to see how many people are without their legs but really uplifting to read all the encouraging posts.
Good on you all!!!! There is definitely life after legs!
