Well, no one ever replied to my request for information about hotels near Staples in LA. So I stayed at the Westin Bonaventure with the elevators on the outside of the building overlooking the sites. What a pain of a hotel. Hard to reach all the levels and the rooms were small. The roll-in shower gave you the feeling of falling as it was drastically pitched towards the drain. The only saving grace was the food from room service. It was pretty good. For those who don't want to travel forever to reach your room or the outside of the hotel, pass this one up. Crazy system of escalators and back door elevators.

Crap! Sorry Anna that your hotel was not a very pleasant experience. If I knew of a hotel in that area I totally would have replied.
Hubby & I are actually going to go down there for a hockey game some time soon and I'll certainly give an update on the hotel we choose. We'll probably stay in Santa Monica ...
Hotels just never get "accessible". Just recently we stayed at a hotel in Long Beach - the Westin. It was all and all a great hotel. But the furniture placement in the room was funky. I went to roll under the desk and smacked the heck out of my knees. This morning I was rubbing my left knee thinking what the heck did I do? Ah yes, that freaking hotel desk! The roll in shower (I really hate 'em, I wish they wouldn't see the chair and automatically put us in a room with one) anyway, the shower had a hand held and a regular shower head. I couldn't reach the regular shower head so I had both blasting at me. I had to turn the hand held around and face the wall, because the water coming out of it was practically scalding - really dangerous, but at least they didn't have a temperature control on it (yeah, like I want luke warm water in the morning). The bed was super high as well and it took all my strength to pull hubby by his pants up onto the bed. I really hate how beds have become sooo high, it's always nerve racking for hubby whenever we check into a hotel.
