I'm taking 6 weeks of next year to travel cross country and I was wondering if any of you have found a hotel chain that get's it right everytime? I usually can work around the high beds and tub with grab bars. But I really prefer to get a bed that's seat height and a nice roll-in shower with a bench in it.

Right now I'm leaning towards the Holiday Inn brand just because they seem to be everywhere and they don't cost too much. I'm looking for something around $100 per night as an average for just a standard hotel room with maybe $150-$200 in the pricier cities.

Hubby & I have had good luck with Double Tree hotels. Their beds are always decent height and I can always get a shower bench for the tub. Plus, free cookies when you check in - yum.

I've never found a hotel chain that gets it right every time, but I have found that calling, double-checking and insisting go a long way towards getting you what you need.

Currently I am staying at a Comfort Suites. It's pretty accessible for me but I am a low para. The room is big and the bed a good height but it has one of these inexplicable low baths but with plenty of rails. With a wet room shower it would be near perfect for my needs.
