In combat, about 8 seconds.
But with todays technology from what I've heard close to what would be considered a normal lifespan.
What were you hoping to hear?
I see you are new here.
Welcome to Simon's gathering of good natured gimperoos, guys and gals alike. Guaranteed to garner grins, guffaws and a gaggle o' great info for you the paralyzed public.

I think we shouldnt worry about lifespan.. specially those, like me and a lot of us, who had the luck of our lives to survive the accident.
We can now look to every single day we live more as a gift and every single moment we enjoy as profit.

Donīt think in what you've lost, think in what you've kept!

Hi Aggzy,
LONG!
I have a good friend on a vent, he's now a high-level quad from polio. He just turned 59, has been on a vent since 13. When I get down about my life I think of Larry, nothing moves cept his neck/head and funny as hell lips...he's so positive and full of life...a jokester and a lover of baseball, not to mention his wonderful wife!
You'll be okay...live long and prosper
