I love Brahms.

Although I can't help thinking of the last cartoon on this page: http://www.student.i.../9cl_music.html when I hear the name now!

I'm listening to Cake. Because I just love a bit of Cake.

Very funny! Now that's what I will think about when I listen to Brahms. I feel similarly about Handel. Everything he wrote sounds so much the same, I sometimes wonder which piece I am hearing.

Glad you enjoyed it. 9 Chickweed Lane is a great comic strip: I really enjoy their "classical music" and "hallmarks of felinity" series.

Listening to: the dead silence of a sleepless night. It's 3:25 am!

Just bought the ACDC Black Ice CD. Can't get enough of it. Brahms and Handel have their place but there is a lot to say for loud angry music. It gets the blood flowing.

Fairground Attraction: "Moon on the Rain" (Does anyone even remember that?) kitschy, sad - I'm in a melancholy mood today. (My mood does not really fit the lyrics, though.)

I didn't even expect to find this on YouTube - and there it is, in a version performed years ago in Hamburg / Germany (place of my favourite film Soulkitchen). The world is full of f***ing coincidences. kitschy, eh?

at the moment - The Stones (old album) and a mixture of TV sound next door - and some snoring ...

Happy Patrick's Day, you two! Actually my son is called Patrick and said today: "It's a special day, you know?" No party, no pub - homework and off to bed! What a pity.

Beautiful song ("Don't go").

Mozart's String Quartet No. 15 in D minor k 421. I'd add the link, as did the people above, but I am ignorant of the method. I must learn to do this.
