Im on a hunt to buy some. Just curious what kind of braces you all used. If you have pics, show me!

I had cosmetic calipers for a while (the photo shows lower leg ones but they are available in full-length too), but they didn't work out for me as my feet are a funny shape, so went back to regular metal leg braces with 'pegs' that slot into the heel area of specially made boots - old school and f'ugly but they were more comfortable and did the job. :D

I'm sure you'll have a much better choice, living in America. I'll be interested to see what everyone else suggests :).

Its a really old photo, but it shows the braces i was telling you about pretty well.

I wouldn't recommend these. The attached shoes (boots) make them hard to get on.
Boat racing accident July 2006. Still hoping for some return!

so where do you get these braces do you buy them or do you get them by insurance as same as standing frame and portable hand controls

I'm having to get a physical evaluation from my G.P., which will result in a prescription to take to the Orthotist. I dont have insurance that will cover the braces so I am paying out of pocket..
