I have to shower least once a day in winter, but in summer, as many times as possible (up to four), but at least twice..

When I'm in hospital, or incapacitated somehow at home, or visiting somewhere, I have bed baths, which just dont match up to a shower!

I clearly remember my first shower after the accident.. There's just no better feeling than that clean fresh feeling after your first shower after months of bed baths! There aren't any words to describe that feeling adequately..

;-) I, for one, (as many of us SCI) most certainly have learned the value of running water and will never take it for granted!
What's important is not what happens to us, but how we react to what happens to us..

God gave us two ends, one to think with, n one to sit on.. Success depends on which one u use.. Heads u win, tails u lose..

I'd hate to miss my morning 'wake up' shower. I'd love a bath at night to relax in...but for now, it's a bed wash.
So it's 1.5 washes for me daily.

As needed, which works out to 3X week, but I prefer my Dad's schedule: "Once a year, whether i need it or not!"

I hafta shower every day because if I don't my spasticity drives me nuts all day. Hot water hitting my muscles hard calms them down and feels great. I sit in my shower for about 45 minutes daily, use a hand-held sprayer set to "hard spray". It is truly the highpoint of my day.

I HAFTA shower every day or my legs(which I can't feel)feel like wound-up rubber bands ready to explode, all day long. Hot water, the higher the [pressure the better], relaxes all my muscles and I don't get so miserable, especially later in the day and even more so if/when I encounter cold weather.

That's why I invented the Go-Anywhere portable commode 'n shower chairs, so I can shower when I travel. Others appear to like me better showered as well :) (Not to mention, poopin' in bed blows!)
