I'm so excited...tomorrow my husband and I are going to meet one of the other members of this forum. It's been great to meet people in our situation and it will be fun to actually go put a face with a name!

Only if she dresses like a baby deer.....hehe!! :)
His last deer was so little I think he helped the mom deliver it before he shot it!
I like to pick on him...but, I'm really pretty proud.

:)

You folks have a great time...I find that I'm quite excited about this too!

I've met a few people via a forum where I was once a member. (Where Simon came to tell us about this forum) It wasn't a spinal cord injury board, per se, but a back problems board. Anyway, meeting like-minded/bodied people is a wonderful experience and I've made some life-long friendships with a couple of them.

I have a feeling all of you will hit it off splendidly. B) Let us know all about it when you return...well, ok...you can leave out the embarrassing, lampshade on the head/high-heels dangling from the ears stories... :D

Well, we had a really, really great time! I think we were all a little nervous before we met up because meeting someone from the "internet" is kinda like a blind date! We are all relieved that none of us was an ax murder or a freak!!
We went the the LLLLOOOONNNGGGG Christmas parade and Bruce and John stole candy from all the little kids (and they acted like retards!). Then we went back to Ashley's and watched murderball and the LSU game and ate gumbo (yum!). Then we drank some beer (Bruce excluded b/c he was driving) and went driving around looking at the Christmas lights. I'm still amazed at John's ability to get into a 50 ft high truck with no help!!! .....did the beer have anything to do with that??!!
Ashley and John took some pics so I'm sure that she will post one up here when she gets a chance.
All in all, it went perfect! They are coming to our town to see us in a couple weeks!

Ok, I've tried reshaping, changing formats, cropping, etc. I cant get the forum to accept the other pic. And the one above is soooooo long. Photo editing is certainly not my specialty. Isnt Hillary cute! It was so windy, our hair was blowing everywhere. Plus, we had been hit in the head several times with flying candy.
