Hi

Any suggestions would be great.

I am meeting with the pain clinic on Monday (my first visit), I suffer from spinal cord disease. Am paralysed from the waist down. I ISC for bladder and I have a ileostomy for bowel.

I take 2400mg of Gabapentin and 40mg of oral bacolfen. I have been taking this for 18 months. It does not seem to be working now. My back and legs spasms and my legs are so tight It's impossible to straight them. I have bad side effects which i think are gabapentin related. Insomnia, acne and the shakes.

A friend suggested the pump. I asked my GP today and he could not help. I want to go to my appointment on monday a bit educated.

Is the pump good for Neuro Pain? I see it can be good for people with MS and I'm quite similar. I would like to try and get of Gabapentin. I take so many tablets.

Is my dosage of bacolfen high enough to warrant a pump?

I have had 8 operations in two years and I dread going in to hospital. But, I'm also fed up being unable to sleep because of the spasms. I've had 4 days straight of being unable to sleep. I feel like a zombie.

Can you let me know what is was having the op?

I would be grateful for your help. I have search the internet and i can't seem to find much on it.

Thanks

Katherine :)

Sorry for the spelling mistakes and for anything that does not make sense.

I am really tired!

Sorry just thought of some more questions.

Did you have to have a LP?
I can not have an LP they can not get any CSF of is anybody the same as me?
And I also have a VP shunt will the pump go in the back or the front?

I also take vesicare for bladder spasms. would I need to take that if i had a pump done?

Sorry so many questions
