Hi. There is a "Karen" out there somewhere who emailed me and I cannot find her email address anywhere. She had gotten a baclofen pump and was willing to converse with my 15 year old daughter regarding questions and concerns about the pump. We would love to locate an ambulatory teen with a pump. My daugher had her pump surgery on Dec 20, 2005. Thanks, Ambulate15

Hi,

I'm not a teen anymore (I'm 25) but I do have CP and a Baclofen Pump since 2003. I'd be happy to talk to your daughter about the pump.

Hi, there

I have a nephew in Brazil that had brain damage when he was born so hi s doctor recomended the use of baclofen pump to reduce the spaticity of muscles. However the cost is very high, for that reason I have been trying to find out how much would it cost here.Hopefully you could give me this information.

Many thanks,

Claudia

I think that all together (surgery plus pump) the operation runs around $45,000 US. Medtronic does have a patient assistence program but I think its only for US citizens.
