Am new para, T9-12, complete, thank you all for your information. I have a million questions. What is AD? I am struggeling with BMs. I have been checking myself daily. I usually have one good BM a week. I take stool softeners, senna, lactolose,, and still have to use suppositories. I dont understand when I think I should have a BM I get all of my signals, the stinging extra hard in 1 leg, stomach cramps, and I feel full but when I do dig stim, nothing is there. I dread useing the suppositories as the after results feel like a frieght train crawled up my ass and ripped my guts open. I have struggled w constipation. I know everyone is different, does anyone go just once a week? Thanks for starting this forum. Looking forward to getting to know you.

Maybe using the suppositories more often would resolve some of the constipation and and stop the gut ripping freight train feeling you describe. A week is a long time to go, the key is to get into a manageable routine, maybe try every second day whether you feel anything there or not.

I'm a C5 incomplete. I too don't like the suppositories due to the irritation of the bowel that results in uncontrolled mucus discharge. I've switched to an enema every two days or so. Everything is well controlled and no more accidents. I still take the sena and stool softener but no suppositories.

I'm glad i could help you know you are not the only one out there... me and my boyfriend have alot of discussions about his bowel program. I think I worry about it more than he does.. but according to him going once a week is normal for him... and his doctor is aware of it... my worry is now he is sort of getting immune to the laxatives... and he will not do the suppositories... he is so much on the go he can not afford accidents.
